Catania have confirmed they are in talks to sign Brazilian youth star Adryan from Flamengo.
The 18-year-year-old could not be heading to Serie A, with Catania keen on securing his signature.
"It's true, we like Adryan and are tracking him, but first we have got to sell someone," president Antonino Pulvirenti is quoted by Lancenet.
On other areas of his squad, his admitted that Sergio Almiron could be sold - but Maxi Lopez and Taka Morimoto - who spent last season on-loan - would be back with the squad.
"We are close to signing a left-back and I can tell you he won't be Italian," continued Pulvirenti.
"Maxi Lopez and Taka Morimoto will return from their loans, so we are in good shape there. Almiron is an important player for us, but his contract expires in 2014 and he has to renew if he wants to stay here."
