Christian Eriksen

And De Boer says he would let the 21-year-old move to Anfield if he chose to do so.

"It is up to Christian what he wants," the Dutchman told reporters.

The Rs are looking to offload some of the highest earners on their books following relegation to the Championship last season and Taarabt has been linked with a move to France.

Marseille are reported to be contemplating an offer for the 23-year-old, a prospect that delights the Moroccan having supported the Ligue 1 club in his younger days.

"The club of my heart? OM," he told Le Parisien. "I have not had a direct contact, but my friend Joey Barton has told everyone at the club about me.

"If OM want me, I'm going. My sisters still live in Marseille. This is the first club I supported."

Norwich City set to sign FC Twente and Holland midfielder Leroy Fer

Chris Hughton is set to complete a £4.5 million deal for FC Twente midfielder Leroy Fer in the next 48 hours.

Hughton, the Norwich City manager, expects to seal the signing of Fer this weekend, in time for the club's pre-season tour of the United States.
Norwich fly out to the USA on Monday and will put the finishing touches to the transfer on Saturday, with a five-year deal on the table for the 23-year-old.
Fer, a Holland international, almost joined Everton in January but the move was abandoned due to complications with his medical.

Tottenham Hotspur set to offer Aston Villa £20 million for Benteke

Tottenham manager Andre Villas-Boas is expected to make the first move in his bid to sign the Belgium international by submitting a formal offer, in a clear attempt to test the resolve of Aston Villa chairman Randy Lerner.

Though Villa are insistent that any bids under £25 million will be instantly rejected, Spurs are confident of completing a deal for Benteke and believe the price tag placed on the 22-year-old is unrealistic.
Villa have made it clear that only a straight cash offer will be considered and they are not interested in any Spurs players as part of the deal, but Villas-Boas has the backing of chairman Daniel Levy to kick off what is certain to be a bitter battle to prise the forward from Lerner.
Spurs are prepared to offer Benteke around £70,000 a week – a significant increase on his current salary at Villa Park – and can promise him first-team football, with Emmanuel Adebayor set to be sold before the start of the season.
But Lerner is believed to be in combative mood over the future of Benteke, who stunned Villa manager Paul Lambert on Monday by handing in a transfer request.

Vidal: I want to stay at Juventus

Arturo Vidal has ruled out a move to Real Madrid, insisting that he wants to stay at Juventus.

The midfielder, 26, has been linked with a switch to the Santiago Bernabeu this summer, with reports suggesting los Blancos have bid as high as €36 million for the Chilean, but he is adamant that he will stay with the Italian champions.

"I’m flattered by Real Madrid’s interest in me, but I want to stay at Juventus," he said at a press conference on Friday.

"It’s nice to know that the club have turned down such an important offer for me without giving it a second thought."

Juve general director Giuseppe Marotta has stressed the importance of Vidal to Antonio Conte's squad and hopes that a contract extension will be a formality in the near future.

"He is a strong player and a reference point for Juventus going forward," he told reporters. "We are in contact with his agents. It will not be a problem to come to an agreement for a contract renewal."
Vidal has a contract at the Juventus Stadium until 2016.

Sevilla's Alvaro Negredo may be nearing move after comments from Unai Emery

Spain striker Alvaro Negredo could be edging ever closer to a move away from Sevilla, after his coach Unai Emery admitted it would be "best for everyone" if he left.

The 27-year-old, who scored 25 Primera Division goals last season - a tally only bettered by Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Radamel Falcao - has indicated he would like to leave this summer, with Manchester City reportedly among the interested parties.
The Andalusian club rejected a bid for him from La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid, while president Jose Maria Del Nido has stressed he has not received any formal bids for Negredo from City, who signed winger Jesus Navas from Sevilla in June.
Negredo told the club's official website earlier this week that he would not force a move, but would also be open to leaving.
He said: "Right now, I'm at Seville and like it very much there. If I stay that'll be fine but if I leave then it will be because it benefits both the club and myself."
Sevilla signed Colombia forward Carlos Bacca from Club Brugge on Wednesday for 6million euros, while Raul Rusescu was acquired from Steaua Bucharest in June.
The signings appeared to indicate the club were preparing for Negredo's departure, and coach Emery does not expect his top scorer to be around for much longer.
"The most likely situation is that he will leave," he told a press conference.
"It's possible the club can't reach an agreement for him, but we are prepared, we have spent some time working on alternatives.
"Of course we're not going to find a player with the same characteristics as him or one who is going to have the same record, but we will find players who will be important to the future of this club, and I trust the work the club is doing in that area."
Sevilla's financial problems have been public knowledge for some time, and Emery explained that selling Negredo - for the right price - would go some way towards balancing the books.
He said: "The cards are on the table. Negredo is a very important player to Sevilla and he could continue to be one, either by staying here or by earning the club a big transfer fee.
"We know he could leave, but it would be the best for everyone. The club would be able to meet its financial obligations, and although we would lose a key player, we need to be reasonable, like we were in the case of Navas. Our aim is to produce new players that can reach the same heights (as Negredo and Navas)."

Cardiff waiting on decision from Blackpool's Tom Ince

Cardiff City are hoping to discover on Friday whether they have been successful in their pursuit of Blackpool's Tom Ince.

The Bluebirds have made the England U21 international a top target this summer as they prepare for life among the Premier League elite.
They have already seen an offer for the 21-year-old forward accepted by Blackpool, and have agreed terms on a transfer.
All that they require now is the go-ahead from Ince to push a deal through.
Cardiff boss Malky Mackay believes a decision is close and hopes to be in a position to welcome another fresh face into his ranks inside the next 24 hours.
He said: "We've had a bid accepted by Blackpool. We've agreed terms with the agent.
"Tom and his dad were both on holiday and on a professional course at the time, so Monday was the earliest they could get down to us. We had a good chat, a cup of tea and a biscuit and a look about the place.
"Tom said the last couple of days he had a domestic issue to deal with, but Friday morning the ball's in their court and on Friday morning we'll have a decision one way or another."
Asked whether he felt Ince was keen on a switch to south Wales, Mackay added: "I can only say from the chat we had, we had a very amicable, friendly chat and they asked me a lot of questions about where his career could go forward, where I see him in terms of the type of player he is and what's going on here.
"After that, then that's probably something for him and his family to decide.
"He was certainly very impressed by the stadium, training ground and the city in general during our conversation and the plans for Cardiff City going forward."

Marquinhos will stay at Roma, says agent

Marquinhos is likely to stay at Roma this summer, despite reported interest from Barcelona, according to his agent.

The 19-year-old enjoyed a stellar first season in the Italian capital and has since been heavily linked with a move to Camp Nou.

However, the former Corinthians youngster's representative, Roberto Calenda, has insisted that there have been no talks with any club, with the Giallorossi eager to keep the Brazilian.

"The player has a contract for four season with Roma and he will surely stay," he told Sky Sport Italia.

"There are no negotiations ongoing. It's normal that there are lots of teams interested in him because we're talking about a very talented guy.

"But Roma have not allowed us to talk to anyone."

Calenda also slammed the level of press intrusion into his player's private life after he was pictured in a Rome restaurant.

"Marquinhos was sent home this morning because he had a fever. I went to visit him and we went to the restaurant in front of his house because he had nothing to eat at home.

"Roma know everything, but unfortunately there are people who take pictures without knowing things and you cannot have a private life."

Eintracht Frankfurt end interest in Arsenal's Nicklas Bendtner

Eintracht Frankfurt have ended their interest in Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner after failing to agree personal terms.

Frankfurt chairman Heribert Bruchhagen announced earlier on Thursday that a deal was in doubt.
The plug has now been pulled, despite a fee having been agreed with Arsenal.
Bendtner was open to the idea of moving to Germany, after being deemed surplus to requirements at Emirates Stadium, but his wage demands have proved to be a sticking point.
Frankfurt are now believed to have turned their attention to Sparta Prague's Czech Republic international Vaclav Kadlec.
On the breakdown in discussions with Bendtner, sporting director Bruno Hubner told the club's official website: "We would like to thank Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger for the constructive conversations and the high level of cooperation.
"There was interest from all three parts, but in the end it did not match up."
Bendtner is still expected to be on the move this summer, but has one year remaining on his contract at Arsenal if now agreement is reached.

Osasuna midfielder Raoul Loe wanted by several English clubs

A number of English clubs are weighing up moves for Osasuna midfielder Raoul Loe.

The powerful midfielder enjoyed a fine season with Osasuna, helping them secure Primera Liga survival, and his performances have not gone unnoticed.
The 24-year-old was rewarded for his fine form by making his Cameroon debut last week against Ukraine and Osasuna could face a fight to keep hold of him this summer.
The 6ft 4in defensive midfielder, who has been likened to Patrick Vieira, has all the attributes to make him ideally suited for the physical nature of playing in England.
Several Premier League and Championship sides are keeping tabs on Loe with Osasuna unlikely to be able to resist any big offers due to their financial problems.

Manchester City close in on Jovetic

Manchester City are set to take their summer spending to over €104 million after moving closer to securing both Fiorentina attacker Stevan Jovetic and Sevilla forward Alvaro NegredoGoal understands.

Sporting director Txiki Begiristain has not travelled with the squad on their pre-season tour of South Africa as he looks to tie up deals for the pair, who emerged as top targets in recent weeks after missing out on Isco to Real Madrid and Edinson Cavani, who is close to joining Paris Saint-Germain.

City officials met with Jovetic's agent, Fali Ramadani, at Mottram Hall in Cheshire on Wednesday, with both parties keen to discuss a deal to bring the 23-year-old to the Etihad Stadium this summer.

The Premier League runners-up no longer have first option on the Montenegro international following the sacking of Roberto Mancini in May, but have maintained their long-standing interest in the attacker, who they see as a viable alternative to Isco.

Goal understands that Jovetic would receive an €92,000-a-week salary package at City, and club officials are confident of tying up a move in the coming days with Fiorentina happy to maintain their close links to City, harboured following Stefan Savic's move to Serie A last summer.

Meanwhile, City have also received the green light to complete a €23m move for Sevilla striker Alvaro Negredo after the Spanish side confirmed the signing of Carlos Bacca from Club Brugge.

Colombian Bacca has been brought in by Sevilla chief Monchi as a replacement to Negredo, who will see his salary doubled to €87,000-a-week in Manchester.
Sevilla and City have maintained a strong relationship following Jesus Navas' €21m move to the Etihad earlier this summer, and the Premier League outfit have agreed to meet the Spanish outfit's asking price.

Negredo emerged as City's key striker target after the club refused to meet Cavani's €63 million buyout clause at Napoli and baulked at his €290,000-a-week salary demands. The Uruguayan is close to completing a move to the French capital following discussions over his personal terms.

Jovetic and Negredo would be City's third and fourth major signings of the summer re,spectively, with Navas and Fernandinho having already been secured in June prior to Pellegrini's appointment
