Elche eager to sign Ghanaian youngster Godfred Adofo

Newly promoted Spanish La Liga side, Elche are desirous to sign Ghanaian midfielder, Godfred Adofo from Parma.

The 20-year-old spent last season on-loan at CFR Cluj and URA Atad and helped the latter to finish third in the Romanian second tier.

"Godfred Adofo, 20, a player owned by Parma who is a midfielder and played last season on-loan in Romania is a foreign transfer target of Elche.

"He will be a good asset for the club in our midfield and we are ready to get him,” the club posted on its official website.

Adofo captained the Parma Primavera side last two seasons before moving to Romania.

Parma have signed centre-back Felipe from Fiorentina on a four-year contract.

Felipe has spent the whole of his professional career in Italy, having started with Udinese and then moved to Fiorentina in 2010.

He has had spells out on loan at Cesena and Siena over the past few years, and has now clinched a permanent switch to Parma.

The 28-year-old will link up with his new team-mates at their pre-season training camp in Ostuni on Monday.

He will be hoping to help Parma push on from last season after they finished 10th in Serie A.
